This is the second time I've gotten orthodontic braces; I really wish they could've been done right the first time, back in middle/high school, but here I am once again having to deal with the pain of jaw pressure, an odd bite, and food gathering between the brackets. Oh, and soft foods! For the first month, at least. Ah well, at least it's getting done now. Plus, I got linguals! Those are braces that go on the INSIDE of the teeth, so no one would even know I was wearing them unless they were close enough to peer into my nose. The main drawback of these, however, is that the brackets are murder on my tongue. It'll eventually toughen up to them, but for now I've noticed that the jaw pressure isn't as bad as the constant scraping (thank goodness for wax).
Anyways, it's good to have some relatively invisible ones, even if I have to develop a slight lisp for a while.
